Announcement on Matters Concerning the Regulation of Import Management for Recycled Copper and Copper Alloy Materials, and Recycled Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy Materials
To safeguard national strategic metal resources, promote high-quality development in the recycled metals industry, and further regulate the import management of recycled metal materials, six departments, including the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the General Administration of Customs, jointly issued the “Announcement on Matters Concerning the Import Management of Recycled Copper and Copper Alloy Materials, Recycled Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy Materials” (Joint Announcement No. 23, 2024 by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, General Administration of Customs, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Commerce, and the State Administration for Market Regulation) on October 23, 2024. This announcement will take effect on November 15, 2024, and will repeal the previous “Announcement on Matters Concerning the Import Management of Recycled Brass Materials, Recycled Copper Materials, and Recycled Cast Aluminum Alloy Materials” (Announcement No. 43, 2020 by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, General Administration of Customs, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology).
